Terms of service

These terms are between you and Chefzi. They cover the Chefzi restaurant software: the ordering website, branded mobile apps, the EPOS till, the kitchen display and the Chefzi Orders app. Booking a call or using the service means you agree to them.

The service

Chefzi is software for restaurants. It helps a restaurant build an online ordering website, publish its own branded mobile app, and run an EPOS till, a kitchen display and its menu. We do not take a percentage of your orders. Chefzi does not handle diners’ money.

Food businesses only

Chefzi is for food businesses in the United States: restaurants, cafés and takeaways. It is not for pubs, bars or casinos, and it is not sold outside the US.

The offer and the price

From $9 a month. Ordering website on Starter, marketing on Plus, branded app and EPOS on Pro. First month free. 0% commission on orders.

Prices in US dollars, per location, billed monthly. First month free. 0% commission on orders.

Plans from $9 a month per location: Starter $9, Plus $19, Pro $39. First month free, no credit card required. 0% commission on orders.. All prices are billed monthly in USD. There is no setup fee, and Chefzi charges 0% commission ever.

Ordering and billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

The Chefzi software subscription is sold and billed by Paddle, and Paddle’s buyer terms apply to that purchase.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund of Chefzi subscription fees within 45 days of the payment, with no questions asked. Request it at paddle.net. The refund policy has the detail.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. On monthly billing, if you cancel after you have paid for a month, you are not charged for the next month. We can end an account that stays unpaid after a reminder, or that breaks these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of your menu, photos, and customer records. You give us permission to host and display them so the service can run. You are responsible for allergen information and for the prices you publish.

Acceptable use

Do not use Chefzi to break the law, to send spam, or to sell food you do not intend to prepare. We can suspend an account that puts diners or other restaurants at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.

Prohibited menu items

Customers under the age of 18 may order through the websites and apps that Chefzi builds and hosts. For that reason, you must not list, offer or sell on any Chefzi menu, website or app: (a) alcohol or any alcohol-related product; or (b) pork or any item containing pork.

If such an item appears on a Chefzi menu, we may remove it without notice. If you continue to list prohibited items after we have removed them or asked you to stop, we may suspend or close your account. This clause applies in addition to the Acceptable use clause above.

Availability

We aim to keep ordering and the tablet app available through a Friday rush. We do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is rare and, where we can, outside peak hours.

Liability

We are not liable for lost profit from orders you did not receive because a tablet was offline, or a network failed. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
